Helen's Story (click below to play video...) Laura, Client, St. Louis City “Courtney is fantastic-caring, kind, and very encouraging. She’s wonderful in every way!” Laura has been a StarResource client since May of 2009. When she called us, she was feeling lonely, depressed, and had a recent health scare that really shook her up. After her free assessment, we introduced her to Courtney, who now serves as her companion caregiver three times per week. While Courtney is with Laura, they prepare lunch together and bake cookies, or go out for walks in the neighborhood. Courtney also takes care of light housekeeping and reminds Laura to take her medication at the proper time. Sandra, Client's Daughter “My family and I are very pleased with the caregiver that represents StarResource. Also, I admire Carmen, and all her hard work as an administrator.” Sandra came to StarResource while her mother was in the hospital. On her discharge to an Independent Living community, StarResource provided Private Duty Licensed Care support during her recovery and helped her to build her strength back up. Now, Sandra's mother is using a companion caregiver to help her with errands, housekeeping, and to check in on her. She has a caregiver visit her home 7 days a week to help her with her morning routine. They have breakfast together, then her caregiver does the dishes and makes her bed. She stands by to assist when Willie takes her bath. Her caregiver helps her remember to take her medications, and prepares lunch before she leaves.
